Advancing Lung Health in Canada
As a non-partisan, non-profit group of organizations, the National Lung Health Alliance is working to keep lung health on the agenda year-round.
Together, we’ll continue advancing key national priorities like stronger nicotine control, improved access to lung cancer screening and treatment, enhanced support for those living with lung disease, reduced radon exposure, and healthier homes through better air quality. We are pleased to share that we’ll be heading to Ottawa this October 2025 to meet directly with MPs.
About the National Lung Health Alliance
The National Lung Health Alliance (NLHA) is Canada’s leading advocacy network for lung health. Led by the Lung Health Foundation, the alliance includes several organizations: BC Lung Foundation, Alberta Lung, Lung Saskatchewan, Association Pulmonaire du Quebec, NB Lung, LungNSPEI, Lung Cancer Canada, Asthma Canada, and COPD Canada.
NLHA Advocacy Days on Parliament Hill
This October, the National Lung Health Alliance will bring together leading experts, people with lived experience, and policymakers to discuss how we can care for Canadians living with lung conditions and prevent the next generation from harm.
We will support advocates by setting up meetings at their local constituency office and providing training and materials. Advocacy Days at Parliament Hill consist of meetings with individual Members of Parliament and an evening reception where you can meet other advocates, elected officials, and policymakers.
If you are interested in meeting with your elected officials to discuss the importance of lung health, email advocacy@lunghealth.ca or contact your National Lung Health Alliance member organization of choice. Meetings can take place on Parliament Hill, or in your home riding.
