Canadian Thoracic Society
The Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) is Canada’s national inter-professional specialty society for respirology bringing together over 1,000 members representing specialists, physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals from a variety of disciplines working in respiratory health.
The CTS continually publishes guidelines and position statements for several diseases including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and sleep disorders.

Global Initiative for Asthma
The Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) works with health care professionals and public health officials around the world to reduce asthma prevalence, morbidity, and mortality. GINA strives to increase awareness of asthma among health professionals, health authorities, and the general public.
Through resources such as evidence-based strategy documents for asthma management, GINA is working to improve the lives of people with asthma in every corner of the globe.

Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease
The Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) works with health care professionals and public health officials to raise awareness of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and to improve prevention and treatment of this lung disease for patients around the world.
Through the development of evidence-based strategy documents for COPD management, GOLD is working to improve the lives of people with COPD in every corner of the globe.
