Testing and Diagnosis
There is no single test for long COVID. While most people with long COVID have had evidence of infection or COVID-19 illness, in some cases, a person with long COVID may not have tested positive for the virus or known they were infected.
If you have been experiencing symptoms 12 weeks after an infection with COVID-19, speak with your health care provider. There is not one test to diagnose or test for Long COVID because it there is not enough information known as of now.
Your health care provider will do a full health history and assessment and may refer you for tests to help diagnose what is causing your symptoms.
