Jennifer May Receives Inaugural Brenda Barootes Award for Leadership in Public Affairs
We're thrilled to announce that Jennifer May, our Vice President of Health Promotion & Government Relations, has been named the inaugural recipient of the Brenda Barootes Award for Leadership in Public Affairs! Join us in celebrating Jennifer's remarkable achievement!
The Brenda Barootes Award for Leadership in Public Affairs is established to honor the legacy of Brenda Barootes, a highly respected public affairs professional who made significant contributions to the industry throughout her career. The award will recognize individuals and/or teams who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in the field of public affairs.
Nominated by her peers for this award, Jennifer has dedicated her career to improving and protecting the lung health of Saskatchewan residents through her advocacy efforts. She has made significant contributions to the development of policies in the province that have resulted in a positive impact to population health. Most notably, this includes several instances of new and updated legislation to strengthen tobacco and vaping prevention and control that have been put in place as a result of Jennifer’s continued advocacy throughout the past 25 years.
