Health Promotion Team Collaborates with Radon Awareness Advocates

Lung Saskatchewan’s Health Promotion team recently met with our radon awareness ambassadors Kerri Tucker and Christine Elliott to plan for 2024. Both Kerri and Christine are lung cancer survivors, and we are so grateful to have them on our team. We can't wait to reveal the exciting initiatives we have on the go. Stay tuned for updates!

In addition, the HP team joined forces with our radon partners Kevin Funk from Swift Plumbing & Heating Ltd., and Frank Kirkpatrick from Master Radon for a radon presentation at the Regina Public Library.

Radon continues to be the second leading cause of lung cancer in Canada, resulting in over 3,200 deaths yearly. Radon education is crucial, and we are committed to raising awareness about its dangers and urging everyone to test their homes to prevent lung cancer.
