Submitted by bjohnston on 23 January 2017

It is our great pleasure to welcome Susan Cron as The Lung Association, Saskatchewan’s Chief Executive Officer. “In our 105- year history only three incumbents have held this prestigious position and we are fortunate to bring on a talented female leader, the first female CEO for The Lung Association,” says Pat Smith who is the Chair for The Lung Association, Saskatchewan’s Volunteer Board of Directors.

“Susan Cron is an exceptional, experienced leader who has given of herself through a rewarding career in the public and not-for profit sectors,” states Pat Smith. The Lung Association is Saskatchewan’s oldest health charity and the leader in promoting lung health. “Susan will focus on the growth and sustainability of this dynamic organization as we pursue the vision of healthy lungs for everyone today and into the future.”

So please join us in welcoming a dynamic leader who is passionate about lung health and is strongly committed to the residents of our great province. “I am very pleased to be joining The Lung Association as the new Chief Executive Officer.  My predecessor, Dr. Brian Graham, dutifully served the residents of Saskatchewan for more than 30 years and I am thrilled to follow in his footsteps and join this country wide movement to help everyone in our province and all Canadians breathe well.

The Lung Association is the leading organization in Canada working hard to promote lung health and prevent and manage lung disease. We do a lot of our work right here in Saskatchewan and fund vital research, advocating for improved treatment and help those living with lung disease. We have a history of saving lives from our early work in managing tuberculosis in our province and with your help I hope we can continue to save lives for our future generations by creating a world where there are healthy lungs for everyone.”

About The Lung Association

Breathe. It’s what unites us. It’s what inspires us. And it’s what keeps us pushing ahead—whether it’s searching for cures to lung diseases, teaching our children about the dangers of tobacco, or fighting for clean air. The Canadian Lung Association is the leading organization in Canada working to promote lung health and prevent and manage lung disease. We do this by funding vital research, pushing for improved treatments, going to bat for smarter policies, and helping patients manage their health.
