SHRF 2024-2025 Solutions Program Launches!

Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation's (SHRF) Solutions Program supports interdisciplinary teams of researchers and knowledge-users addressing pressing health needs in Saskatchewan.

SHRF is pleased to partner with Lung Saskatchewan in supporting their focus on Lung Health Research with a partnered investment of $200,000, available through SHRF’s 2024-25 Solutions Program.

To be eligible for Lung Saskatchewan partnered funding, applications must address one or more of the following areas related to lung health:

  • Child and Youth Lung Health, especially as it relates to threats to lung health like tobacco and vaping use, and lung diseases like asthma and infectious respiratory diseases (TB and COVID-19).
  • Rural and remote lung health services, especially as it relates to the lung health of Indigenous Peoples and the delivery of patient and caregiver education.
  • Threats to lung health like exposure to radon in one’s home, school, or workplace, and tobacco and vaping.
  • Lung disease prevention, diagnosis, and management for diseases like asthma, COPD, infectious respiratory diseases like TB and COVID-19, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, and sleep apnea.

Opportunity Details

Innovation Grant 

  • Objective – Catalyzing the development of innovative solutions to address pressing health challenges..
    • Up to $50,000/project – 1 year term

Impact Grant 

  • Objective – Advancing the translation of evidence based solutions into real-world and practical applications.
    • Up to $150,000/project – 2 year term

Important Dates

  • Eligibility Check Cut-off: September 26, 2024 – 4:30 p.m. CST
  • Application Deadline: November 14, 2024 – 4:30 p.m. CST
  • Funding Start: March 1, 2025
