Dr. Gary Groot, a professor and clinician-scientist in the Departments of Surgery and Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan, recently co-led a working group that created a policy brief to senior leaders regarding the anticipated scope of Long-Covid in Saskatchewan along with recommendations to address this unmet need. Covid-19 has disproportionately impacted vulnerable populations and Long Covid, the term most frequently being used to describe the ongoing sequelae of having contracted Covid-19, will undoubtedly follow suit. This research will provide system leaders with a more accurate understanding of the scope of the Long Covid in our province.
