Lung Saskatchewan is proud to once again partner with the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) to support innovative, Saskatchewan-based lung health research through the 2026-2027 SHRF Solutions Program.

Youth vaping is a growing concern for lung health in Saskatchewan. While more young people are experiencing nicotine addiction through vaping, there is currently no widely accepted or implemented vaping cessation strategy in the province.

A new paper published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, on July 17, 2025, warns that respiratory disease is being critically underfunded and overlooked, with dangerous consequences to public health and global healthcare systems.

Lung Saskatchewan is proud to congratulate the recipients of the 2024–2025 Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) Solutions Program grants with a Lung Health focus. Through our continued partnership with SHRF, a total of $200,000 has been invested in two Saskatchewan-led projects that are advancing research in lung health and respiratory care.
