2026-2027 SHRF Solutions Program Competition Now Open!
Lung Saskatchewan is proud to once again partner with the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) to support innovative, Saskatchewan-based lung health research through the 2026-2027 SHRF Solutions Program.
Through this year’s competition, $200,000 is available for Lung Health research in partnership with Lung Saskatchewan. The SHRF Solutions Program supports collaborative and engaged research that helps develop and implement innovations to address timely health needs in Saskatchewan and create sustainable impact in focused areas.
Funding is available through two grant opportunities:
Innovation Grant
Up to $50,000 for one year to catalyze new ideas and approaches that respond to focus area needs.
Impact Grant
Up to $150,000 over two years to advance innovative solutions into real-world and practical applications.
This year’s Lung Health focus areas include priority lung diseases in Saskatchewan, threats to lung health and opportunities for prevention, child, youth and family lung health, community-informed education and support, and improving equitable access to lung health prevention, diagnosis, education and care for underserved people and communities.

Eligibility Cut-off: September 10, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. CST
Application Deadline: November 5, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. CST
Funding Decisions: March 4, 2027
Funding Start Date: March 1, 2027
