USask Nursing Students Conclude Their Placement at Lung Saskatchewan

Submitted by sdriedger on 30 March 2026

Fourth-year nursing students Téa and Blake from the University of Saskatchewan completed their community placement with Lung Saskatchewan.

During their placement, they focused on pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease, updating resources and learning directly from the experiences of those living with these conditions. They also hosted a support meeting on wildfire smoke and set up an information booth with a health fair organized by the Open Door Society.

Reflecting on their time with Lung Saskatchewan, Téa and Blake shared:

“As our time with Lung Saskatchewan comes to an end, we would like to thank the Lung Sask community for being so welcoming and providing us with a safe, supportive space to learn. During our time here, we deepened our understanding of lung health and gained firsthand insight into the experiences of those living with lung disease, and their supporters. This experience strengthened our appreciation for person-centered care, the value of community, and the importance of connecting people with the right supports and resources.”

We extend our appreciation to Téa and Blake for their dedication and contributions during their time here. We wish them all the best as they continue their nursing journey!
