As we celebrate Lung Month this November, we have a few things planned! Professional Education We are working hard to ensure we are able to deliver quality programs and services during this unique year to our health care professionals. We are pleased to host a new Fall Professional Education Webinar Series in honour of Lung Month! These webinars are based on current evidence-based practice, and are delivered by key opinion leaders in their fields. Community Support We have also launched a COVID-19 Online Support Group for those who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, and their caregivers. This group is a place where patients and caregivers can come together in a safe space to ask questions, share experiences, and offer support to each other. See below under "Support Groups" for more information or join the group. The Lung Association History On November 19th at 7 PM (CST) we will be hosting a webinar with Dr. Brian Graham, former President & CEO, to talk about the history of our organization. This one hour webinar will talk about our historical beginnings during the Tuberculosis pandemic as the "Saskatchewan Anti-Tuberculosis League", the three sanatoriums, to current day. |
