{contact.email_greeting}, Can you believe it’s already mid-August and summer is nearing its end? It's truly a time to savour and make the most of it while it lasts. Did you know the hot weather can impact those with asthma? Heat waves can trigger symptoms as pollen counts and pollutants often increase with the rise in temperatures. While enjoying the outdoors, it's important to keep our lung health in mind. In addition, for students with asthma, getting ready for school should also include taking steps to protect themselves from asthma flare-ups and the “September Spike” – the sharp rise in asthma symptoms that happens soon after school begins.

As many of you may know, Jennifer has been an integral part of both Lung Saskatchewan and the health promotion space for more than 25 years, passionately advocating for lung health through various initiatives. Her dedication to smoke-free public spaces, youth vaping restrictions, quit smoking support, and radon awareness has made a significant impact. We wish Jennifer all the best and continued success in her future endeavours!
