It’s hard to believe that spring is less than two weeks away. Longer days of sunshine and more opportunities to open the windows and get outside are just around the corner!
We are pleased to announce that the Lung Life Webinar Series will begin this month. These webinars are designed to empower patients living with lung diseases and their caregivers to live healthier lives. The series will kick off with a COVID-19 Treatments Webinar on March 29 with Dr. Takaya, Saskatoon’s Pandemic Chief of Staff. You can learn more about all webinars in this series by visiting the section below or LungSask.ca. Researchers with the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) in collaboration with the University of Saskatchewan and Lung Sask have launched the Sask Long Covid App. The research project aims to improve the lives of people suffering from Long COVID in Saskatchewan and is open to anyone 18 and over, whether you have had COVID-19 or not. Your contribution is important to help provide data needed to develop the required support systems and resources for those who are experiencing Long COVID.
We have experienced much turmoil in the country and around the globe in the last few weeks and we encourage everyone to practice patience and kindness. Also, as provincial guidelines on COVID-19 measures continue to evolve, we ask you to keep in mind that a mandate is not required to wear a mask. Please take the time to make informed choices that are best for you, your loved ones and others around you – particularly those that are most vulnerable. Sincerely, Erin Kuan President & CEO |
