{contact.email_greeting}, It seems just like yesterday we started the year and now February is here! This month ushers us into some of the coldest periods of winter in Saskatchewan but on the bright side, it also means spring will soon be here. Every year on February 4, World Cancer Day is marked globally to raise awareness for cancer and to inspire people to take action on preventing, detecting, and treating the disease. Did you know that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in Canada? Research shows that smoking and radon are the top two causes of lung cancer - both of which can be prevented.
We encourage you to share the love this season by telling your friends and family about our resources and programs as we work together to improve lung health in Saskatchewan. Big news! In line with the ongoing evolution of our brand, our newsletter has been renamed The Pulmonary Post. The word ‘Pulmonary’ means ‘related to lungs’ and it aptly captures Lung Sask’s essence and the work we do. Are there new areas or topics you would like us to address? We would love to hear from you! Please send us an email at info@lungsask.ca. Sincerely, Erin Kuan President & CEO |
